"Good Start = Good Life"
Our Home Visitation program is designed to reach out to at-risk pregnant women and teens who are on mandatory bed rest or have transportation issues and who are in need of additional assistance. Our trained, bilingual "pregnancy companions" travel throughout Pinellas County providing emotional, educational, and doula support to each mom-to-be as she navigates the often complicated social and medical system.

Good Start = Good Life utilizes pregnancy companions as client advocates who provide emotional, spiritual and practical support, community resources, medical system navigation, and education. This mobile program provides a flexible, individualized approach to client needs, resulting in improved access to prenatal and postpartum care, safer deliveries, healthier babies, stronger maternal/infant bonding and improved parenting and life skills.

The program spans pregnancy and up to 6 months after birth in order to access
infant development milestones and immunizations.

ELIGIBILITY
-
Pregnant (0-6 months) and reside in Pinellas County
-
Agrees to set goals with staff and work toward achieving the goals

Agrees to receive home visits from staff
​
Each client must meet one of the following criteria:
-
No medical coverage at the time of enrollment
-
High-risk pregnancy​​ or Prescribed Bed Rest
-
Little or no support
